Nice knife, Manuel! I am also a huge fan of Tim's fancy hunters (note my avatar picture), and I think he would be honored that you made this one inspired by his work. I can see that your skills really continue to progress (even though I still like the older pieces that I have from you :)), especially your control of that Turkish twist pattern, and the museum fit handle. And the "chewy" mortise stag handle really finishes it all off. The only thing I would maybe change is to round those sharp edges at the spine and choil. Keep up the good work!

Very nice! That red deer looks better than most I have seen. How much pith did it have? I ask because I may have access to some "sheds" from a family friend who used to own a huge 6000 acre farm/game preserve over on the east coast of Florida. He still owns like 200 acres of the property and the red deer he had used to hang around near his house like semi-pets.

Did you not read my post, Joe? I know you are literate.

Manuel has not posted here in about 10 months.

I saw it after I had posted, so literate, yes, but inattentive. o_O

So trying to ask a member who hasn't posted in almost a year questions on the forum is...sort of a dumbass move.

Better to try another social media platform that they are hopefully active in.

keep in mind the member you've called out so rudely has only been here for a year, has sprung for a platinum membership, and has asked a totally fair and legitimate question. Maybe you two know each other, but from the outside, your comments are a little 'under the bridge', if you catch my drift

if any of you forumites know how to contact Manuel, drop Alan a line
