hey folks,

just wondering what sort of wait time any of you have experienced after having sent BM a blade to be touched up under their lifesharp service. thanks in advance.

This is an older thread but I thought I would reply and update it for all of you Benchmade owners out there itching to use the "Lifesharp" service. Since I just sent in one of my Benchmades for sharpening the end of April: Per the individual that I talked to yesterday - "32 business days. We're kind of running behind." WOW! Glad I have more than one...

Hey Guys...

Cirrus...

Get yourself a Sharpmaker 204 and you'll be able to easily in 10 minutes sharpen the knife just as well..

For $50-60 USD I wouldn't waste my time sending a knife in for sharpening..

The Spyderco Sharpmaker 204 will sharpen almost everythi ng you need..

I just sharpened my Benchmade 530 pardue back to a razor edge,it only took 5 miniutes(I couldn't belive it).I used a set of DMT diamond hones,it came back quicker than any Knife I have ever owned. It was too easy,154cm rules,or Benchmade does.

Just did it. Ordered one from Best Knives for $42.95. Sent in my Benchmade end of April so I should be getting it back from their LifeSharp service in July or August :D

As a follow-up to my experience with Lifesharp I finally got my knife back. Mailed it to them April 27th and it was returned to me June 12th. So 30 "working days" is about right. Time elapsed aside they did a fantastic job of sharpening it. It was dull and had a small nick in the blade. It is now back to better than new. Also, the Sharpmaker is awesome. Sharpened every knife in the house - scissors too.
