This is an unusual release mechanism and a pretty exotic construction.

It is exotic construction, and the look of the handle is not appealing to me at all.

Well, a chacun a son gout I suppose. I think the intertwined bolster (damascus/anodized Ti) is sort of reflected in the handle. The auto release mechanism is quite easy and a little different than anything else I own.

The damascus part of the bolster looks like something that was produced by Devin Thomas. Do you know if it is his or not?

I went to http://www.turnbullknives.com and thence to his For Sale stuff. I think the Damascus is similar to the first one on there and is Ealy on the blade...not sure who it is on the bolsters.... I know I have it somewhere.... But he does use Thomas' Damascus.... My favorite being this one here.
