Turning 30 this weekend...any advice?

Don’t kid yourself, you’re not even half way there.

You need to check you bucket list. Make sure its has a lot of “don it’s” in read marker.;)

The years are only going to go by faster, enjoy your life as it will only improve with age. Aches and pains will soon catch up with you. Make absolutely sure that you have a decent retirement plan. Retirement will catch up with you faster than you realize.

I will be 32 in ten days. I am just trying to remember a couple things.

Start worrying about important things, stop worrying so much about the stupid stuff.

Go for it. Whatever it is, go for it.

Make time for family and friends, your work will be there long after you're in the ground (hard for those self employed, I know).

Yup. That is pretty much it. 30 is pretty easy. At 30, it's time to stop drinking a lot of the cheap stuff and switch to smaller amounts of the good stuff... and the same concept applies to a lot of other things too.

This is good advice, your liver will thank you over your next 30 years. After 60, you can probably go back to drinking as much as you want again.

Thank you all for the amazing insight and advice. You've all made me smile, and above all seriously think about the things mentioned. Truly grateful for your wisdom and kind words.

George Burns once said, "The secret to a long life is to live to be one hundred; you don't hear about many people dying after one hundred."

Looking back to age 30, I could write a dozen pages of ramblings. But it can all be summarized in a single sentence:

"It's time to get your %&*# together." :D

Turning 30 this weekend...any advice?
The older I get the more I respect what my elders have to say. If I knew what I know now, when I was 17...well there's no sense living in the past. For those of you who've passed 30 and lived to talk about it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Advice? Party hearty! while you are still young enough to pay the piper!

Try to remember that all you put into the lives of others comes back into your own. Call it karma, call it whatever you please. At 30
you have a lot of time to undo whatever damage you've done and focus on living a better life. Always be grateful for what you have;
taking people and things for granted is the first step towards losing them.

Lots of great advice for you to mull over. 'Bout all I can add is to recommend glucosamine; the "hinges" don't work as they once did.
Oh, and you've just started living, really.
