Turning a spey blade into a wharncliffe? UPDATE: I started it!

Well, I guess I am running out of excuses to do the same thing. I have thought about reprofiling a couple of trappers I have for a few years now. After all the rehandling, reprofiling and rehabilitating we have seen to old traditional patterns to breathe new life into them here, I am thinking I am running out of excuses. Some of the work here is just outstanding.

I have reprofiled a dozen kitchen knives into shapes and grinds I want to use in the kitchen or in my camp/bbq set, but have never tackled a folder.

But... I can't figure out how to cut an even nail nick I would like. I use my Dremels on all kinds of things and was thinking I would use that with a cutting wheel and some patience. Any tips or ideas on how to get the nick right?

Robert
