I was looking around the forum and ans found some good stuff on building kilns and PID controlled forges and I was wondering could you add a PID and a thermocouple and make a toaster over into a really accurate tempering oven?
Thanks

You might get better answers in a more appropriate forum. General Knife Discussion of for discussing knives. I would think you need one hell of an overbuilt toaster oven.

Many have used a toaster oven using a simple oven thermometer for tempering up to @ 500F. You could use a PID and thermocouple to help maintain the temperature within a narrower range.

If you search the stickies in shop talk you will find a instructional post from Stacey as to how to trun a toaster oven into a PID controlled tempering oven.
