TV Knife....SVU

Watched the first episode of "Law and Order...Special Victims Unit" last night.
The boss cop (the one who eats all the time) used an auto to open an ID card.
Just curious as to what it was. Any offers ?

I think it was a BM Mini-Reflex. This came up on the shows first run as well, the Captain seems to be one of us (knife nut, that is), the auto if his favorite prop.

Maybe, but I don't see anything for me that would involve much of the TV, which is quite far from being a sharp, pointy object.
