I have a TW 90 on order and need to rearrange the workbench. For those of you that own one how tall is your bench? I am 6'1 and my harbor freight bench at 20 inches wide is 33 inches high and is perfect for my Viel 1x42 to lay down and be a just the right height to grind horizontal.

Will the grinder fit on that and what height is optimal for the bench if using the TW 90? Don't want to put it on there and the belt be at my head.

I know that is very subjective but looking for input.

Congratulations on your TW 90 grinder. I have two and think they are fine machines. One bench is 35 1/2" tall, and the other is 38 1/2" tall. I am 6' tall. I grind my bevels on the machine that is on the 35 1/2" tall bench.
Really, I think you just need to try what you have. You can always raise the machine if you think you need to. Everyone grinds differently and what works for one may not work for another.

I will agree with everything Tom mentioned above....You can raise it to a level that fits your grinding style after you do some initial grinding...You are going to enjoy that machine!!!

Thanks, Will the 20" wide bench fit the footprint to screw it down? Travis said he ships it screwed to a 2'x2' piece of plywood.

It is time for a bench overhaul anyhow but if I can get by for now I will.

Need to clear space to hang all the 2x72 belts along with the old 1x42's. I have to get a 220 volt line run for it since the 115 is full of other stuff and has no amp headroom. At least if it can fit the bench I can be up and running quick.

See if these photos help you any. You can see that my bench is about 37.75" high, and there is 25.5" clearance between the bench and the shelf above the grinder.

Perfect Jesse! Didn't think about the light shelf above but thanks for including that.

Looks like the screw footprint is about 9x15 so I'm cooking with gas. Just need power, move around my lighting and set up a bucket.

Here is the current...Belts hang on the wall to the left.
