I have purchased a TW-90 from Travis and just found out he does not include the small wheels with my purchase. He recommended K&G and I thought I would ask for your advice once again as to size of wheels to order. I am thinking 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 inch. I wonder if you all use these sizes much and what suggestions you might have.
Thanks for looking and best wishes.

I pretty much use only my rubber .75 inch small wheel.

I have 1/2 3/4 and 1. I'm have K&Greg through a 1-1/2 on my next order. They are great, and yes, K&G is the place to get them.

Well, you can always make a bigger cut with a smaller wheel, but not a small cut with a big wheel. Personally, I use a 1" quite often, but there are times that smaller wheels come in real handy, especially even as small as 1/4".

If I could only pick three? 1/4, 3/4, and then it's a toss up between something like 1" and 1.5".

Pleasanthill: looked at the knifegrinderparts.com site, but it does not look like their wheels will fit the TW 90.
Yeah, I would love to have a 1/4 and 3/8, they look really useful.

Sizes that are useful for others may not be as useful to you. Keep in mind the kind of knives YOU make and the radii of various features of YOUR designs. This will give you the best indication of which sizes to get. Get a few now. You can always get more sizes when you feel you need them. The radius where the back of a guard blends into the handle as well as the flares at the butt of the handle are a couple of good areas to have properly sized wheels (if these are features found on your knives). Whatever sizes you get keep in mind you should not run them at full speed or you will burn them out quickly. Run small wheels fairly slowly.
