This time of year has a lot of different meanings for many people. Our entire world celebrates this time, regardless of religion or ethnic background. When all is said and done, we are but one people who inhabit this wonderful planet.

Wether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza or just the dawning of a new year, you are amongst friends.

The community that has developed here is perhaps my greatest accomplishment. With the help of Spark and the moderators, we have developed a on-line community, which is in my mind, perhaps reminiscent of small towns in the 50's. We now have over 190,000 posts, 4,300 members, and thousands of lurkers who all look to this sight for information on a subject we all share and love.

It can be said that knives are nothing more than steel and other materials. Yet man's oldest tool has captured our imagination, and has propelled us into a symbiotic relationship in which we all help each other gather knowledge.

My goal for this site is simple.

To provide each of you a place to come and talk about a subject we all share in common. I have learned so much from all of you, much more than I could ever teach. This site is a monument to what can be done when great people with a common interest get together and share knowledge. All I have done is provide the medium to which you all can share that common interest.

I do not have many close friends. Being an entrepreneur is not an easy task and it calls for much sacrifice. My life is consumed with goals and I am a workaholic. As evidenced by my posts, you can see that I am up a very strange hours, working and building what I believe to be my future. I am not certain what the future holds, but I do know that I have met many people here, and I consider all of you my friends. If a man is measured by the friends he keeps, then I must be one hell of a man. You guys and gals are great, and I thank each of you for being a very big part of my life. Regardless of what my future holds, I know that this time will always be remembered as the perhaps the best part of my life. Thank you.

The next year will provide many new features here at BladeForums. The new on-line magazine is just the newest feature we will provide. I have many ideas, and I will explore each of them to and see what we can do to make BladeForums THE #1 source for knife information. The next year will be a fun ride, I hope you join me.

From my family to yours, I wish each of a very safe, happy and prosperous new year.

I believe that this sight is already the #1 source for knife information, and I would also dare to say that many (if not all) of the other members feel the same. Mike, you have done a splendid job. You truly deserve a pat on the back! Words cannot express how great this place is. I would like to thank you very much for all your hard work and dedication. I know there are many other folks that help maintain this place and I would like to thank them for their time also! You guys and girls are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Mike. All the best to you and yours in this special season. Have a Joyous Christmas! BTW there's a reason for the season; something real backs up those "glad tidings" (but perhaps you know that already!).

All the best to you, Lori, the kids & Spark during this holiday season and the new millennium.

Proud to be one of the "brothers (& sisters) of the blade"!

Stay sharp!

Imagine what we could do if we thought we could not fail

It's Christmas morning and I'm at BladeForums seeing what a bunch of Knifenuts are up to, why? Because you are all some of my favorite people, yes like family. Only better, there when I need them and easier to make go away.

To all of you that have made this place a wonderful place to come, thank you.

To the Crew and especially Mike, thanks for making it possible.

In the words of Ben Franklin, "Well done is better than well said."

Happy Holidays and a Prosperus New Year to all.

Merry Christams Mike and thanks for making BF a reality. I've learned a lot of things since I joined and I've met a lot of people and of those most I'd call friends even though I've never really met any of them. Have a good holiday!

I have made many lifelong friends here. I have learned alot about knives, but more importantly I have learned alot about people, and I have learned alot about myself. Being a police officer makes it very easy to become negative, especially about people. I know so many police officers that don't trust anyone. We see so many bad things that people do to each other. It also seems as though noone trusts us. People think that because I am a police officer, I am "out to get them" or that I get great pleasure out of harrasing others. The people on this forum have showed me that there are still good people out there. People on this forum, that don't even know me, have shown great amounts of trust in me. Senator sold me a $375 knife, he shipped it to me before I sent payment! This is but one example, there are too many to list here. It means alot to me to be trusted. What good am I if I can't be counted on? I want to thank my forum family for being so kind to me. I can never repay what you have done for me. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

And thank you Mike for making it possible. I am proud of this forum, and I think you should be also.
