Tweaking a CRKT M-16

How does any of that change the fact that you've tested exactly one (1) LAWKS-equipped knife?

It doesn't, which is why the initial posts mentioned this specifically and why I remained open about the system for quite some time, and I still think it has its merits, even in the implemention that I saw which was far from optimal. However after returning a sample, and asking if it was the expected behavior, which is what I always do when I see results which are unexpected, in Jul. 2005 and after about a year and no responce from CRK&T I hardly have incentive to run out and buy another. It will change of course if I recieve the required information from CRK&T. When I have been told the behavior was not to be expected I have repeated the work, to the extent of multiple replacements on some blades. When I don't get told this obviously I don't. I hardly think an arguement could be made in general this is a reasonable course of action, I severely doubt that people do it in general with products they find are defective.

Yet anytime LAWKS is mentioned, you eagerly proclaim that it's completely and totally useless ...

No, this doesn't represent what I have actually said in posts which in reality is :

and the origional post :

Of course a year later my perspective on the issue has been effected by the lack of responce from customer service. Though even then I have stated multiple times, the one I had was not useless, it worked well for torques, just had no ability to sustain impacts once the lock itself failed.

When the liner itself was fine the LAWK's wasn't taking any strain obviously which could be one of the reasons there is contradiction in the reported behavior. How many of the reports of the LAWK's being useful are actually loading the knife to the extent that the liner itself fails without the LAWK's engaged.

I must admit that the CKRT knives I own are not carried on an everyday basis,so I can`t say I have subjected mine to alot of stress....
My big dog seems to be BRUTE strong, and the others sure look fine to me....
Having had some "bloody" experiences with failures,I know exactly what you mean-it is a real cause for concern...I honestly don`t trust ANY folder 100% under any kind of real stress...but what you are talking about does sound alarming!!
Well,I`m off to examine my CKRT`s....lol:confused:
