Never owned a Spyderco...I bought my Father in Law a Full size Manix for his birthday. I went from a CRKT M21(Sold) to a Strider RC to a Regular Sebbie to a XM18 to a Benchmade 760(Work, I would hate to lose a 400 in a plant) with a Chop Suey in between.

Generally, any 2 of these are on me.

Nine years ago, Spyderco was my gateway drug into Bladeforums. Does that make Hortons my heroin?

First nice folder I bought was a Spyderco Standard. I still have that one and like it.
 
I got busted for trolling in Traditional a while back. In a nutshell, I was butt hurt, and the moderator didn't like it when I questioned his "authoritah."

That black Salt has a history I just found out about. Pretty cool, actually...

All that and it looks pretty dang good. The edge hasn't worn much at all, even with all the sharpenings. The edge holds for quite a long time now, too. There's no horizontal blade play, which really blows me away considering it doesn't have screws in it and it has plastic scales. There's a tiny bit of vertical play, probably from all the abrasive junk getting in the lock. It's never really been cleaned with anything but tap water, and I modded the clip a little by replacing it with a Ti clip from a Pac Salt. The stock clip rusted to junk pretty quickly.

Anyway, I just realized it's been right about 2 years since I bought it, and thought I'd share the hard knocks the thing's been through. :D

It really is a good knife, only had to touch up once....today actually.

Been in use minimum 4 days a week, cut wires, pried apart metal, scrapped clean tags and has done everything without question.

First true "production" frame lock and I am impressed!
 
Oh, and then Jeremy fucked with me by insinuating Spark blocked my moderator application because of said infraction.

I got butt hurt over that too. :p :D
