Medium Tanto in NitroV and Ironwood

Hey there everybody! Here’s a new tanto I’ve just finished alongside it’s shorter twin seen below. Maybe it should be guardless but I just can’t abide a smooth transition from under the handle to the edge, seems dangerous, so I added a “guardy” nub!

Steel is NitroV with professional HT at 60/61, 1/8” x 7/8” blade . Balances at the front pin.

Hand sanded to 1500 grit for a reflective finish. The edge was about .010” before sharpening.

Dimensions: 11.0” OAL, Tip to Scales 6 9/16”

The handle is Ironwood with Turquoise G10 liners, mosaic center pin and stainless pins. It’s finished to 1200 grit, oiled and waxed.

The premium sheath says “Peace from Strength” in Kanji according to a few translators I checked including the regional communities subforum here at BF.
