Twist Fighter from Beginning to End

Okay, you weren't ignoring me, I'm just impatient. Damn having a real job, it's turned me into an even bigger jerk.

And I am a damn Yankee afterall ;) :o

Thanks very much my friend!!!

Bill thanks for the good work. That is a fine knife and I like the way you did the butt cap.

Thank you all for the nice comments, though these types of threads are more time consuming to produce, it was fun. I talk to people every week about the making of knives and it is amazing how many just don't realize what it really takes to make a good knife. Maybe threads like this will help some people realize just how much time, work, equipment and materials it takes to make knives and help knifemakers get more credit for their efforts.

Nick your not a jerk, just an impatient p*#@k :), you just need to remember us ol hillbilly's don't get in a hurry about much of anything, except huntin', fish'in, moonshine and women. I hope I helped a little and please let me know how it works for you once you give it a try. Now get to work you BUM. ;)

Thanks again everyone and I hope to see some of you at the Denver show next month.

Bill

Actually, Nick is an incredibly talented smith, but you can't get much work done if you are constantly running over to check yourself in the full length mirror to make sure you still look good for the pics for that GQ "Men of Bladesmithing" article.:D Matt Roberts may be worse. I do believe that there is a pic of him somewhere forging a blade wearing a Brooks Brothers button-down shirt....lol.;)
Oh, by the way........killer knife, Bill:thumbup:

Bill, at least string em along for a month or two!
Jeez that twist is beautiful Bill.
Where does the barrel mount? :D

Bruce ol Buddy ,it doesn't mount to any barrel, You haven't taught me that yet. ;).

Thanks guys,

Bill

This was great! As a new knife maker, seeing the whole process from start to finish on a knife makes a huge difference. Thanks for taking the time to detail and photograph the process. Great work, beautiful knife.

Big Medicine, Thank you and I am glad it was of some help. There's many ways and techniques to make knives, so if we can pick up a little something from each other it sure helps along the way. ;)

Bill

A good combination of patterns with the steel and
the choice of wood. Looks terrific, Bill.
