Twisted Giveaway/ Winners announced

Awesome. I look forward to seeing pictures once it is done. Please be sure to mention that you've ordered the Combat Tomahawk (once you have) so I can mark you down for 3 entries in the contest.

Hi Mike -

I sent John the template today and he will start on my order next week!

best regards -

Thanks for the chance to win.

JK you have some nice looking blades

I would go for the Phoenix with thumb serrations and lanyard hole, hollow pins and I like the red liner with black handle. I like the blade shape and the size of the knife, would work great for me for camping and hiking and cutting things. Would work really good for my truck knife but would get green liner if I was gonna do that... hmm...

Nice contest, thanks

I'd have to go with John's "Your Design or Mine". Growing up on a farm I always had a knife in my pocket, usually either an Old Timer or Uncle Henry stockman pattern. Seems I used the sheepfoot blade the most, cutting string on hay bales, opening feed sacks, etc. Lately, I've been using a kitchen knife with somewhat of a modified sheepfoot. I like the blade but the handle is terrible. So, I've been toying with the idea of that style to use as an EDC knife.

Here is the kitchen knife

The top one I just drew, probably needs refining a little. When I start drawing it takes several revisions before I get it where I like it.

Seen John make a few wharncliff's, but not anything like this.

Awesome contest

First off, I'd get a Camp Knife with thumb serrations, or even a bit more modified jimping on the back of the blade that would extend about 1.5 to 2 inches from the grip. I'd have a lanyard hole and hollow pins installed to allow for a cord wrapped handle if needed in a survival situation. I would chose this knife due to its useful size and multiple uses from bushcraft to even a tactical use granted that the grips were modified to a more high-speed material such as g10.
The blade thickness makes this knife perfect for splitting branches and even some chopping jobs, while the handle's unique shape and design allows for comfort while working. The ergonomic design is not only practical, but comfortable and useful as well.
Personally, what I would like to see with this awesome design is g10 handle scales and further jimping on the back of the blade, and possibly groves in the scales for an even more ergonomic grip. And hell if you didn't change anything on it at all I would still want one.
the model you chose was it looks, purpose, or something else? The more detail, the better

I love my Camp & Trail knives.

Time is ticking down guys.

Only two more weeks until the contest ends.

Get your orders in with John if you'd like a chance to win a $50 discount on your next knife.

The Anniversary EDC
If I had the money I would buy this knife in an instant, the reasons are quite simple. The jimping looks very functional and the handle sturdy, the full flat ground if I am correct is a very nice for a knife of this size, overall the design of the knife shows that this is knife is superior to those in its category and price range.

Well, the first knife that caught my eye was the Michigan Trail Knife. I'd try to talk John into making the handle a little longer for me as I've got large hands. Of course if I could test hold one first I might decide it was just fine as created. The other knife that catches my eye is the Rule #9. I like natural woods and mircata both so not sure what handles I would ask for. If I win the lottery I might have to get several variations of each.

Thanks for the chance Mike. I just ordered a JKCBK with ebony scales, brass pins and red liners for December.

I've always liked this classic pattern and have considered buying a production model for years. I'm glad that I held out because this one looks great!

I can't tell you how pleased I am that you've ordered that knife. My contribution was nothing other than a request for a CBK with better handles, but for some odd reason I am very happy that others really like the knife I had pictured in my mind.

John really knocked that one out of the park. IMO - it is perfect and he (somehow) managed to create exactly what I wanted (with very little help from me). I don't know how he did it, but I'm really glad he did.

This is way too easy for me. I already own a hiker HD. On of I believe only a few bikers made in 3/16 steel.

I want another one. But scandi ground out of 1/8 inch. Black canvas micarta and red liners.
I have a short scandi hiker, so this would be my long one.

I posted a drawing earlier of a knife I figured I'd like to have made, but after looking at it I'd make some changes. And after John's photo contest where I did some whittling on a hard piece of walnut, I decided I wanted a knife with a handle that was basic and comfortable in a variety of grips. I then thought of JK's Kephart design and decided on the EDC size. Technically not an order, but John was nice enough to guide me in making one of his designs. On Friday the one and only stamped D knife was made, and hopefully not the last.

This is a hard choice because I like all of them. But the scout Jr with black g10, red spacers, lanyard hole and hollow pins would be about the perfect knife for me. Just big enough to do almost anything but small enough to carry easily. And of course the killer looks!

I would get the belt hawk with wood handles(oak I think). I have a few small JK knives, a few large JK knives, but no hawks! Hopefully that will change one day.

That is sweet. Excellent job.
