I just finished this one this morning i'm not sure of the alloys in the head it's a bar i have had for a while and was not marked the bowl is from a round twist damascus bar of 1095/15N20, the haft is lilac with walnut stain. Mouthpiece and plug are antler.
O.a.l. is 17" from tip to tip. The head is 5 3/8" with a 1 3/4" edge. Thanks for looking!

She looks really sweeeeeeet...

Was the wood already twisted like that or did you grind that in.I have a twisted dogwood shoot that has been drying for a couple years just waiting to do a handle like this out of.

Thanks guys now i can concentrate on my next one which will have the special haft from Stacy.

Nice one Bob. Looks like you have been busy. How did you fasten your bowl to the head? Good job. Paul

Paul i drill the hole in the haft so the threaded piece from the bowl threads right into the haft. And the antler plug is threaded as well. Thanks!

Very nice. I didn't know lilac made good handle material. My parents just cut down a few of theirs.

I have used lilac on a couple of projects it is very hard and likes to twist and crack as the green wood dries standing dead is the best if you can find it.
Thanks Bob

That is one piece pipe that any frontiersman or chief would love to have. Beutiful work.
