Forged texture is left on the flats as a indicator that it was forged and my favorite octagon shaped handles. The spine and choil of the blade are rounded over to avoid those irritating sharp corners and provide a smooth surface for your fingers to rest against. This particular blade features a octagon shaped handle constructed out of OD Green Canvas Micarta, African Bloodwood, and black G10 liners fastened with stainless steel corby bolts for a bombproof handle perfect for the kitchen.
