Hi there, forgive me if this has been discussed before. Earlier today an idea popped into my head of something like a modern Muskrat folding knife. Would it be possible or even at all advantageous to have a modern folding knife with two blades that opened from opposite ends of the handle? My envision is something similar to the Cold Steel Lucky, but even more modern. Blades could run on bearing flippers, with both scales being lockbars, one for each blade. The main problem seems like it would be the thickness for the bearing pivots... If the frame was thick enough to allow for two blades then I do not know if the bearing pivots could be stable or tuned enough for decent flipping action. But if this could be figured out it could possibly, in my opinion, be kind of neat. Especially if each blade had a radically different blade shape/steel/edge pattern. One blade could be a spear point plain edge in M390 for example, and the second could be a partially or fully serrated tanto in a soft 154CM. If both blades were relatively thin, and the frame was a kwaiken or similar equal end pattern, and thin scale material such as titanium could be used, would it be possible? And if it was possible, would it ever be anything useful? Thanks in advance for commenting on my illogical musings, hope everyone has a great day!
