any suggestions? any quality steel will do.

Interessting question... I saw some pics of a member Camillus made stockman some time ago, that had a serrated sheepfootblade. But it seems nothing in your size range...

Kind regards
Andi

Serrated knives are pretty rare in the traditional realm, I recall seeing an old timer with one but it was something of a collectors piece, nor was it a penknife style, but good luck with your search

As mentioned, Schrade and Camillus have produced a few versions of multi-bladed folders with at least one serrated blade. In particular, I recall Camillus going on somewhat of a serrated blade 'binge', maybe back in the '90s or so. They produced a line called 'Yello-Jaket', with yellow synthetic handles, and I seem to recall many of those featured serrated blades (stockman w/serrated sheepsfoot, and maybe a muskrat pattern with a serrated blade; maybe others as well). Both companies are gone now (except in name only, for importers producing knives under these brands), but a lot of the older US-made knives are still out there, on the secondary market. Here's a pic of a Camillus 'Yello-Jaket' Congress pattern with a serrated sheepsfoot, found in a thread here on BF:

Case has occasionally produced limited runs of standard patterns, but featuring serrated blades. Often the sheepsfoot on stockman patterns, and the 6265 pattern folding hunter was also produced with a serrated secondary (skinner) blade. I have a more recent '65 pattern FH in orange G10, which features a combo edge grind on the primary (clip) blade.

Schrade 89OT, but it is a Stockman pattern. I found mine on the big auction site.

Closed is about 3 7/8"
Main blade cutting edge 2 11/16"
Serrated blade cutting edge is 2 1/4"
Spey blade cutting edge 1 3/4"

Schrade LTD. It's a touch longer than 3 3/4". Blades are un used, but has a cracked scale and a missing bolster. Been meaning to get it repaired.

I see pre2004 Schrades on the bay every now and again w/ a serrated secondary blade.

An alternative that has elements of traditional and modern styling is the Byrd Wings Slipit. It features two slipjoint blades, one plain, the other serrated, good steel, stainless bolsters, G-10 scales, and a removable pocket clip. Quite a nice knife.

I've just seen a couple of interesting muskrats on that auction site

Here's a Case "Rosewood Special Muskrat":

Here's a Parker Cutlery (Japan) Muskrat:

I recall some company that offered a Opinel-like dual blade folder. I think the handle was plastic, with a plain/serrated setup, blades on opposite ends of the handle, each with a ring lock. Can't for the life of me remember a name, though.
