Two blems for 2/20

These Chainpuri Khukri's are Beautiful! The Khukri's shape and weight scream Fighter to me and the carving on the sheaths is really well done. Thanks to H.I. and Yangdu for providing us with these great pieces!! :)

Definately agree Wildmanh. I picked up the other one, (The top one) and love it. Yangdu sure knows what to look for in a Khuk. Even though it isn't a HI made (no kami marks) it is a beautiful blade. Very well balanced and it flows through all of the forms I use with no over balancing or the twist you sometimes get at the wrist when moving between forms. Though I am not used to such a long blade with this good a balance so I came close to cutting myself a couple times because of the way I usually compensate for the blade. With this blade, I did not need to compensate so the compensation almost caused the problem LOL. Can't wait to get a few good Khuks for more everyday use as they become available too.

I purchased 2 of these from HI. Both are beautiful and both say Nepal. Two different lengths and neither one has Kami markings on them. I forgot to ask Ms Yangdu who made them?
Can someone help me with this answer? And is all the wood hand carved?
Thank you
George

They aren't made by HI kami's. The are made in another local region, hence the name Chainpuri. Pala visits from time to time and if he see's well made knives he buys them and offers them to us faithful HI followers.
I imagine they sometimes visit him or HI to offer stuff as well.

I've only been turned on to the H.I. Knives for about 2 months now and own about 20-25 and growing! I've probably watched every YouTube video at least once and have been a fan/collector of different hand forged, ABS knives from master bladesmiths.
H.I. Offers some of the best knives that I would use to complete against the requirements to past the ABS tests.
The Kamis are true (unknown) artists that "truly" need to be discovered for who they are and the quality work they do!

Thank you Ms Yangdu for your extreme kindness and willingness to do a wonderful "quality control" with the knives you sell.
You've a very sweet and kind woman that runs a company even yet to be discovered!

Your faithful supporter and collector,

George Azar
