It is Turkish Damascus O1/15N20 4 1/2" OAL 9 1/2" with Desert Ironwood Handle.

Again it is Turkish Damascus O1/15N20 10 1/8" OAL 16" with inlayed Mammoth

The Bowie recently won an award for RS in a Brazilian knife show and is an extremely fine representation of the incredible work RS is doing with his patterns and his integral creations.

How's the bowie fee, how's it's balance and quickness in hand? Looks great by the way, fine work as usual.

Buddy, the Bowie feels great. The balance point is exactly at the join of the guard and the ricasso. quite amazing considering the blade length. I can't find any problem with the knife at all and Phyllis is very impressed with it also.

Murray, that's a cool Bowie. There is however one problem with it and that's that it is in Canada and not in the Netherlands;)

Marcel

Spectacular!

The bowie is technically more difficult with more "wow" going on... but that chute is the one that REALLY trips my trigger. Just great stuff! :)

I agree with Nick. The large bowie is amazing but I just have a thing for the smaller one.

Murry you are a lucky guy. GREAT scores there.

Two great knives, Murray, from a custom knifemaker that is
walking shoulder to shoulder with the elite league of modern
custom knifemakers!

It is a pity though, that only the few who frequent this Forum
get to see it........ :)

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I was lucky to handle this bowie at the 2nd Nova Petropolis Knife Show in Brazil. It is one hell of a knife! That chute is also a cute thing. It is amazing how can Rodrigo forge weld and grind all the pieces for those integrals.

That integral is insane!!! I can't imagine the planning much less the execution.... my poor brain is overloaded thinking about it.

That chute knife looks downright nasty, in the good knife blade thingy way. :p

Impressive. Especially that integral! Jaw droppingly nice!

Kind regards,

Both winners without a doubt. I've had the chance to handle the chute and it's a terrific little piece. I can't wait to get my mits on that bowie though - wow! Hats off (again) to Rodrigo and congrats to you Murray - you've got a fine little Sfreddo subsection going in your impressive collection.

Roger

WOW...Rodrigo Sfreddo has EXCEPTIONAL skills! From forging the damascus to designing the knives, to crafting them, to fitting them with fine sheaths!

Congratulations Murray! I can imagine it is quite a pleasure to handle them.

Peter

That Bowie has one of the most graceful blades I've seen. The difficulty of doing that in such an integral is mind boggling to me .

John

Rodrigo Sfreddo was born to forge blades. It is a genius knifemaker. Extremely creative and innovative, constantly it develops new techniques and finds a way of doing more beautiful and daring pieces. I had the opportunity to catch these two wonderful knives in the hands and to be fascinated with them.
Congratulations!

Murray,

Both knives are great. I think that the Bowie is exceptional, the steel is spectacular. Congradulations.

Jim Treacy

They are both exceptional. That chute knife is really appealing, and the bowie has flow to beat the band. The sheaths are both beautiful as well.
