Two knives, based on the same frame. 3 3/4 closed.
D2 steel in the Texas Jack, CPM154cm steel in the Stockman.

Both look lovely. I think the Texas Jack is calling my name, simply for the fact that it is D2, and it goes without saying, properly ground.

I have two production folders in D2. Holds a great edge, but the grinds are done too thick (both the primary, and the edge bevels). I convexed the edges, but the primary grinds are still too robust for great slicing!

I dream of a nice thin D2 blade!

The stock on the master blade is .095 and .078 for the pen. I like to grind the primary bevels to just about zero before putting the secondary edge bevel on. I am like you , thin really makes for mean slicers!
Thanks for the kind comments,

VERY nice! I'm a big fan of slipjoints, and custom slipjoints are the TOP.

Thanks for posting, reminds me that I have to look more in the "traditional" section of the forums ;).

Kind regards,

Jos
