Two custom axes/hawks

First up is a custom LMAX by Jeff Hall and Joel Pirela. It has been used very lightly on wood and is in very near new condition. Here's what they said when i asked them about it:

Hi Peter!

The Axe you have is a custom, hand made one. The head is made of S30V as the production one are made of S7 tool steel. We only made 10 pieces of yours, since we usually make 11 pieces (as for the ti head version) so I can keep one and release 10 even pieces.

Goodmorning -

I did 20 hand ground LMAX's; 10 in titanium for truenorthknives.com and 10 in S30V for tadgear.com.

They were the first LMAX's.

The S7 tool steel with black DLC coating is the production piece. I think the previous owner is confused about the D7. I'm not aware of a D7 steel.

I can't remember original pricing, but I think it was about $475.

The next one is a custom tomahawk made by Jens Ansö. It is made in 1/4" thick S30V, black G-10 and titanium pins. It is mint except for a few very light kydex scratches on the head.
