Two dear friends have passed away

My prayers are with you. Having lost a dog to cancer, I can understand your loss. Fortunately, I have not yet lost my mother.
Best wishes buddy,
Rob

You have all my thoughts and prayers, Holger. I lost my father to Alzheimer's about 10 years ago. The hurt never goes totally away, but we learn to live with it. Hang in there.

Your request has been fulfilled.

I feel your pain, sort of. Last April we lost our 10.5 year old Alaskan Malamute, Shredder, to liver failure, then had to put dour 16 year old tabby, Stinky, to sleep due to a tumor in his sinus cavity.

Then I almost lost Mom in November to a brain aneurysm.

Grieve, but remember it's them who've gone and not you and the rest of your family. We're still here to talk about it.

It gets better with time. Lucky for me at least, my Mom is up walking and talking (six weks in a coma, we were looking into conservatorship, it really sucked). I also got a new Mal puppy a couple weeks ago. Things will work out for you as well.

Grieve for them, but be joyful in the fact that you're still here and have a wife and two more dogs that love you.

My prayers to your family and the loved ones that passed away... I believe God have a better place for them to go.

Take care,
Eric Wong.

One more thing:

Times like these should just make us appreciate even more the ones who are still with us. NEVER miss an opportunity to show or tell someone how much you love them and how much they mean to you, and NEVER go to bed mad, especially with a spouse. As awful as it sounds, it could be the last time you see them.

If I had a girlfriend, and when I used to, I would NEVER allow us to go to bed angry at each other. Same should go for kids.

My own philosophy exactly.

I feel more a part of this online community than I ever did in any place I have lived.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, sympathy, and stories of similar losses. Very comforting and much appreciated. God bless all of you.

Holger,
My thoughts are with you and my prayers go out to your lost
love ones, where god has chosen to keep them. I lost my mom,
my friend and companion for 61 years, on Feb. 2nd, 2002. When
I was a kid, we lived on a farm and she had a great deal to do
with my love for cutlery. It still hurts, I miss her. I understand.
My dog Chrissy, my hunting companion for 12 year, died many years
ago, but I still miss her. It will get easier.
My sympathy to you
Don

I don't really know how to say a prayer, but my thoughts are with you.
