When I teach a basic bladesmithing class I do demonstrations by making a couple of simple knives. Here are two from a class I held a couple of weeks ago.

Forged from 5160
Flat grind with a Scotch Bright finish
Forged texture along the spine
Curly maple handles dyed to bring out the figure
Overall length: approximately 9 inches on both (the camera angle makes the top one look smaller)
Blades: +/_ 4 1/4 inches
Leather scabbards

$130 each which will include postage to the US or Canada. My PayPal account and email address is gldrewknives@gmail .com I also accept USPS money orders or checks with time to clear.

I'll take the other. I prefer the pin pattern of the one on the bottom if cbach8tw hasn't already spoken for it.

cbach didn't specify which one he wanted, not on is PayPal or here on BF so let's assume he didn't care which one he got. You will get the bottom knife and cbach will get the top. THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU. I have received your payments so your knives will go out in the morning.

That is okay by me, I will take the top one if you want the pin pattern on the bottom one.

Thanks for the consideration, cbach8tw. I just noticed your question about the thickness: I started out with 1/4 inch stock but when I forge a texture along the spine like these it comes out just slightly thinner.
