So I am designing (or attempting to) a 5-4 inch fixed blade that i will have some1 make for me. I want a small flat fixed blade to just drop in my pocket in a kydex sheath.

I was also wondering if a piggyback kydex could be made for a small kiridashi (handle the size of my thumb)?

The handle will be a large karambit style ring where my middle finger will go, then it will curve like a old pistol to a finger guard/choil for the index. the handle is only for two fingers, tho a thick paracord lanyard will be tied to the handle for the rest of my hand to hold.

Im playing around with a s type curve then a tanto point. this will give it a second point at the tip of the s that i think will be awesome for opening mail, packages, fish, cutting string, ect. then have a large belly for rocking back and forth chopping up ingredients in a pinch, slicing. the tanto point would be used for piercing, drilling holes, used as xacto knife. it knida looks like a manatee and is pretty ugly. ive never done this before and im just trying things out. it would be awesome if this shape could work but ive never seen anything like it.

What blade shapes do you think will perform well?

I also am thinking of a wharenclif stlye double ground blade with the front edge sharpend ina chisel grind. this will make is pierce like crazy, sorta like a extendd penetrator tip only you can use it as you would a kiriadashi or exacto knife.

Ive never bought a custom knife but i figure the best kind of custom is one made for me. :D so i might have gotten a little wild thinking "i can have anything i want..."

but anyway throw in your thoughts one the dream manatee, or the xact wharnie

Well, it doesn't precisely match up, but Andy Roy (Fiddleback Forge) makes a nice little Three-Finger Karda. It's a very handy blade.

Based on your description, that might be illegal because many places could consider that a push dagger.

There are some two finger knives on the market, however, like the Silent Soldier.

Here's a Silent Soldier video

Well for the control you are looking for, I would suggest the Folts Minimalist. I have the wharncliff blade and I love this thing! Very handy knife.

I was gonna say that too thinking it was a two finger. Then I looked them up and remembered they were 3 finger.

hmm i didnt think of it being a push dagger. i was just thinking overall utility and the 2 finger grip to keep it short while still having a decent blade size. I really do like the folts minimalist. ive been toying around with getting one of the customs for no more than $100 thats a good deal. with th ckrt version like $20 it would make a great beater

I am gonna have to say that whatever you choose, three finger is about as short as you want to go. 2 finger is really difficult to control for finer cutting tasks with the tip. I have the CRKT minimalist and paid less than $22 otd, and I carry it around my neck every day. The steel is somewhat lacking (as usual for most CRKT knives) but when used for its intended purpose it sure is darn good at it. Only other thing I would do is take the sharpened edge all the way back.

okay thanks for everyones input. does anyone know if it would be possible/practical to attach a small thumb size kiridashi sheath piggy back to another kydex sheath? I prefer kydex bc it is light and tough but once again im open to suggestions.
