Howdy guys, I've got two for sale today and, as usual, I am showing some less common steels. I hope you like them.

#1 Fat Bear Mini Bowie
This is a super stout medium sized knife made extremely tough for all purpose use. The steel on this one is very hard to come by, Bohler Uddeholm Vanadis 4E. I would use this stuff for all my hard working and larger knives if I could find it in the right sizes. It truly kicks ass. The toughness and wear resistance are both between 3V and M4, and it's a 3rd generation powdered metallurgy product. The translation to that is this is a steel that is tough as hell and very wear resistant also. I've chopped and chopped with this steel with nothing but super impressive results. From playing with the my V4E knife and hand finishing this one...I can testify that the wear resistance is way up there. Very close to M4 to finish...which is difficult to say the least. This steel can be hardened up to 66 or so, but this one is only 62 to stay on the tough side of the range. Some quick specs:
OAL: 9"
Blade: .200"x4.5"x1.65"
Handle: CF dovetail bolster, linen micarta with OD green G10 liners
Steel: V4E@62 with cryo by Peter's
Finish: 600!! hand rubbed.
Sheath: Wickett and Craig leather, welted with retention strap
Other features: thumb jimping, tapered tang, oversize lanyard hole, swedged clip, convex edge, contoured handle
Price: $old, paypal to ozarktradition@yahoo.com, or intuit credit card payment.

#2 Companion EDC
I actually made this knife for myself, but same as most knifemakers, I need to pay for some tools that are quite expensive. This is a nice svelte package intended for EDC, but could be a nice skinner or food prep tool. It is made from Bohler Uddeholm S690 steel. S690 is very similar to M4, but again is 3rd generation powder metallurgy. Having used both CPM-M4 and S690 I can tell you there are some subtle differences. The 3rd gen PM seems to give an even finer structure, which helps the blade take a keen edge, better finish, and perhaps some other advantages in toughness and wear resistance. From my testing, the edge holding is excellent and is quite resistant to chipping. This knife is ground thin and slices wonderfully. Put it to the test! Specs:
OAL: just over 8"
Blade: approx 3.5"x1.5x.165"
Handle: Cocobolo, black G10 liner
Steel:BU S690 @62 with cryo by Peter's
Finish: Hand rubbed to 400+ then vinegar etched with random patterns
Sheath: Wickett and Craig leather, pouch style.
Other Features: tapered tang, thumb jimping, straight bevel polished edge via Edge Pro
Price: $250, same payment options as above

Would you mind taking a picture looking down onto the tang for both knives? Also, would you mind taking a picture of you, or someone else, gripping each knife's handle? How wide/thick is each knife's handle? Thanks.
