That Gelbu looks like it has a really deep fuller. I have an old one by Rajkumar but it doesnt look that deep. Its more like Sirupati but still cool. Inoculation! Ewwww No. Your probably right but this is one disease I can live with

Dog, you are correct. The fuller is very deep and extends from the very edge of the spine to the beginning of the edge bevel. The symmetry is quite impressive. I can only imagine the weight differential if the fuller was not incorporated.

I think mine is an 18" but id love to have a 21" with a deep fuller like yours. I wouldnt even mind if you could see through it I think it as an awesome design. They are choppers designed to take advantage of speed rather than weight but being light they make good of some other desirable characteristics of a fast blade like cutting light springy vines and twigs etc. but they still have the obtuse strong AK edge for chopping. Really ingenious design. You have to compensate slightly for the angle of attack on the lighter stuff as compared to Chitlangi or some other thinner edged models but it is easy to get used to. It just bites at a bit higher angle thats all.
