My buddy has one of these. Its such an interesting design, and a very interesting brand collaboration. These are like little tanks. Aren't they discontinued?

I just read on another thread that the fixed blade is being cancelled but the folder model of the CSAR will continue to be produced. Quite a knife.

I have the CSAR-T folder (154CM version) and should probably grab a fixed version if they're being phased out. On some of the Buck/TOPS collaborations, I struggle to find much of a TOPS influence aside from the inclusion of their most basic nylon sheath, but on these CSARs, the "Rocky Mountain Tread" grips are a great addition in my opinion.

Nice blades!

I had the Responder version below; ended up giving it to a buddy on the local fire department because he was carrying a junk knife (unsafe as heck lockup)

Good Day, Folks,

I have been reading about the Buck/TOPS CSAR-T Liaison Fixed Blade for a couple of weeks now. And in fact, I just ordered one this week, the Buck model 680. BTW, it does have the 420HC blade material.

I just came across this thread last night, and found your chat interesting. Mauser, could you point me to the thread discussion where they say this fixed blade will be discontinued? I'm interested to learn more.

Also through another BF thread, I "met" Makael (a sheath maker) and am chatting with him about building a leather sheath for this fixed blade. Once I get the knife and sheath, I plan to post some pictures of my new Buck. Thanks for any pointers/comments you might send my way.

Have a great day!

Not yet...but when they are they will be collectors like the Bucks/Strider.

What's the Csar mean? Makes me think of Russian, like Czar.
Anyone know? (and I reckon the T means Tops?)
