Two slipjoints of my design that I named The Hiker. They are 3 7/8" closed, 3" blade of cpm 154 steel, 410ss liners with thin red spacers and canvas micarta scales, one Tan, one Green, both have federal shields and thong holes.
The Tan one has a drop point blade, the green one has a clip point blade.
They both have half stops.

I picked up a Hiker model from Joel about one month ago and it hasn't left my pocket since. Great size for EDC and the fit and finish is outstanding.

Those are really nice and clean looking.

I cant imagine the time that goes into making knives like those...
 
I picked up a tan one from the secondary market ~a month ago.
It's been in my EDC ever since, very happy!
 
I bought a green canvas spearpoint Hiker from Joel a month or so back--it's marvelously good. The build quality is obviously as high as it gets (and really really smooth walk), and the design is ideal. You knocked this one out of the park, Joel! Whoever ends up with these is getting a heck of a deal.

I've purchased two hiker models from Joel and they are both excellent quality, excellent walk and talk, excellent fit & finish... Etc.. Joel is a great maker & a true Gentleman. My hikers are among my most favorite knives that I own. I just wish I had the extra funds to snatch that green one up.
 
It was a pleasure doing business with Joel, I received the hiker today and it is a wonderful knife, excellent fit & finish and razor sharp! It's already been put to work and is in my pocket.
