Fotr Sale: Two Hinderer XM-18 3.5's and Two Zero Tolerance Hinderer Designs (ZT0560 and ZT0561)

I do not know a whole lot about these knives. I have had them sitting in a drawer for MANY years. No boxes; no papers.

First up is an old Hinderer XM-18 3.5 inch flipper # 1. I am pretty sure I never carried or used this one. If I ever used it, it would have been minor stuff like cutting tape on a package at home years ago. I have no clue what the steel is on this. It flips very nicely. Let the pictures be your guide.

Second is an even older Hinderer XM-18 3.5 inch flipper # 2. I am the second owner of this, and it has definitely been used. In fact, the original owner reprofiled it into a slicer. I can confirm that it slices very well. I carried it and used it a fair amount to cut trhings like tape on boxes, pizza slices, etc. Nothing too major. But you need to keep in mind that it no longer has a Hinderer grind of any recognizable shape. Again, I have no clue what the steel is on this. Again, it flips very nicely. Again, let the pictures be your guide.

Third is a Zero Tolerance Hinderer design ZT0561 with an Elmax blade. I am pretty sure I never carried or used this one. If I ever used it, it would have been minor stuff like cutting tape on a package at home years ago. it flips very nicely. 3.75" blade; 5" closed length.

Fourth is a Zero Tolerance Hinderer design ZT0560 with an Elmax blade. It has been used and carried and the edge has in fact been chipped significantly as you can see in the picture. So you will probably need to grind or reprofile the blade. it flips very nicely. 3.75" blade; 5" closed length.

All prices include PP G&S fees and shipping to your door. I will ONLY ship to addresses in CONUS. It is my intent that the first definite "take" to my PM, clearly identifying which knife or knives you are taking, followed by a prompt payment to PP, will get the knive. BUT I do reserve the right to do business with whom I choose . . . I can't imagine why I would exclude anyone, but just want to leave that caveat open. I also reserve the right to withdraw one or all of these knives at any time before they are claimed.

Apparently I'm limited to 20 pictures, so I cannot attach pictures showing the lockup, but they are all very good - 40-50%. Also can't show the blade centering on the ZT560, but it looks good to me - I can send it to you by email or PM if it is critical.

Please take all questions and comments to PM. Thank you.

Here we go . . .

I want to address something raised by someone who was interested in the Hinderer XM-18 3.5 inch flipper # 2. They noted that there is no etching on the blade as an indication that it is actually a cheap Chinese knockoff, and asked if I was sure that it isn't.

Am I "sure?" No - I specifically said in the listing that I bought it second hand many years ago. It was probably at least 8 years ago - maybe longer. So, no, I cannot be "sure." How could I be unless I actually sent the knife to Rick and had him confirm it, and that seems ridiculous for a $200 knife. However, I have owned and handled many other Hinderers, and I'm pretty confident.

An unmarked blade is NOT a giveaway to a knockoff. In particular, there was NO blade etch on the Third Generation, which is what I believe both Hinderer #1 and Hinderer #2 are, according to my best memory.

Hinderer Knife Generations

"Gen3 - Blades are either hand ground or CNC'd but NO more "R. HINDERER" engraving. The "HINDERER" logo is now on the Ti handle lockside."

I would of course refund anyone's money if I mistakenly sold them a "cheap Chinese knock off." Not just on this knife, but on anything I sold here or on eBay where I have done literally hundreds of transactions with a perfect record. And even if I was a scumbag who wouldn't give a buyer their money back for a "cheap Chinese knock off," they would be protected under PayPal G&S and PayPal would refund their money anyway. Plus, if someone would refuse to issue a refund for selling a "cheap Chinese knock off" they would be a pariah at BF and hopefully have their selling privileges revoked.

I hope this ameliorates anyone's concerns about this knife.
