I am new to Spyderco, and was turned onto them while my usual carry knife was being warrantied (I promptly traded it when returned for more SPyderco!) Anyway, the thing I like best abouut the company is the versatility of its products. For example, I own a pre-'98 Endura, which I carry everywhere and use hard as a utility knife. The AUS-8 steel is a little soft, but it sharpens easily and quickly, something I do about once a week. My other SPydie, is a fully-serrated Viele. I carry this when I am dressed up, since it has a classy finish and a beautiful, polished look to it. Not the best tool knife in the world, but its looks allow me the satisfaction of having a great knife even when I am dressed up. I like that! Anyway, I hope SPyderco keeps coming up with innovative new products, and put me on the list for a Bob Lum...any word on when these are coming out?

Last I hear the Lum's were shipping in small numbers, ask your favorite dealer.
