Hi Fellas:

Well, it's getting near hunting season so I'm making more drop point hunters. The hamons came out nicely on the 1095 I chose for these knives. I made the Desert Ironwood knife hamon straight to match the grain in the handle while the English Walnut hamon is more curvy to match the grain in the handle. The English Walnut handle starts out with unpigmented grain and crotch flame at the guard and ends with marblecake at the butt - very distinctive. I haven't made the sheaths yet for the knives so you can specify left or right. The first "I'll take it" gets it. $250 per knife plus $15 shipping. Paypal payment is preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com and I take USPS money orders - personal checks from my repeat customers OK too. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

Best regards,

TK

I can not believe these are still here, both of these are works of art at a great price!

Alan: Thanks! I was surprised too - I 've seen A2 utilities go for $275 with no guards, no tapered tang, no hamon, no hollow grinds!! These are $350 knives.

These won't be reduced.:grumpy:

Are either of these still available? If they are I would like one.

Hi everyone,

I received these last night and I cannot express how happy I am with them.

The main thing that I LOVE about these is the feel of them. They feel so light and balanced in the hand, more than any knife I have ever had before.

The dark one was a bit lighter and I am absolutely in love.

Never have I had a knife that feels like this.

TK - The tapered tang is absolutely awesome and its a shame more people don't have a chance to handle your work... I was happy with these purely because of the ascetics of them.

Since I have held them its a full blown love affair :)
