Both of these knives were purchased new by me in 1997. I still have the receipt for the ATAK 2 as shown. I can't seem to find the receipt for the mirage-x but it was bought within months of the atak and from the same place.

First knife is an ATAK 2 (Advanced Tactical Assault Knife). O1 Tool Steel differentially heat treated with an edge hardness of 62-63 and with a hard chrome plating. Very lightly used but has been in and out of the sheath dozens of times in the last 19 years and shows sheath rub marks in the hard chrome. These are the marks you see on the blade and I tried to get the lighting such to emphasize these. I bought it as a user but it was too big for my normal knife duties and so I never used it. Comes with the factory sheath.

Price $1375. Paypal fees and CONUS shipping with insurance and tracking included.

Next up is a Mirage-X Micro non-metallic ceramic knife designed for EOD and other military usage. I bought it during the brief period it was available for people other than military or law enforcement to purchase. The Mirage X is corrosion proof, and magnetically and electrically inert. MIRAGE is an acronym that stands for Magnetically Inert Radically Advanced Galvanically Exempt material. Blade has a black coating called "Fusion Coating" that is molecularly bonded to the blade material providing abrasion resistance and low reflectivity.

Disclaimer: I don't like to do this but I know for certain this knife is prohibited in some places since it is truly non-metallic and invisible to metal detectors. I am not a lawyer and I will not take responsibility if this knife is not legal where you reside. It is your responsibility to verify its legality. Don't ask me to ship it to you if it is not legal to do so.

That out of the way. I intended this knife to be a dive knife since I was scuba diving at the time and it is 100% non-corrosive. It is super tough but I never used it and it is a somewhat rare piece of cutlery history. It is as I received it with two exceptions. One, is as a dive knife, I wanted a lanyard and so I removed the rubber covering the lanyard holes. The second is that taking it in and out of the sheath over the last 19 years produced some wear marks in the rubber just in front of the finger groove on both sides from the sheath. I hope this is visible in the pictures. Includes factory kydex neck sheath.

Price $875. Paypal fees and CONUS shipping with insurance and tracking included.

I am looking for cash to fund some gun projects but will consider partial trades towards either of these knives. I am interested in traditional blades, fixed (under 5.5") and folding, and nothing tactical. I am especially interested in a small Sebenza.

Let me know if there are any questions and thanks for looking.

Jim
