Up for sale today are TWO Microtech Iconic Auto Karambits!
These are a rare find, especially these days. According to PVK Vegas:
In this listing, TWO phases of this iconic model are up for sale!
1. 168-10 SN 64 (early model phase 1 : 11/2019 without safety) SOLD
2. 168-10 SN 279 (early model phase 2 : 2/2020 with safety)
The first couple months of production after the prototype phase had 2 differences - the flat body model with no safety closely compared to the initial prototype run, and no milled hole in the forward left handle.
In the phase 2 standard cycle, the safety latch was added, and a milled port in the front left handle was added.
Phase 1 is more rare and desired, scarce, and next to the prototype (early) phase release. Oh, and they are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find. I had this one imported as the original buyer from Moskito in the Czech Republic.
Phase 2 determined that an auto switch was a good idea due to the crazy sharpness of the blade and method of handling, and was later added and maintained through the rest of the production lifecycle of these wicked blades.
Item to note on the safety mechanism: The safety latch auto resets with each button press, so the safety engages when both deploying and retracting. This is a solid safety feature for a good 2-stage protection, but personally I prefer the no safety model as deployment of the blade is more simple, streamlined, and quick for instant response situations. Added precautions are needed, but for the careful, phase 1 models have an excellent dispatch!

As you can see in the pics, condition of this is brand new, never carried, never used to cut, only looked at and fondled. They fire HARD, are perfectly centered, and look like the day they came off the assembly line!
