• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Hi guys,

Just got an adequate (not great, but adequate) camera, so I thought I'd share pictures of a couple I finished lately.
Bone Patch Knife 2.jpgBone Patch knife.jpg
This a little patch knife. 1095 and cow bone. Brass pins.
About 4.5" OAL, 1 15/16" blade.

Hickory Fruit knife2.JPGHickory Fruit knife 1.jpgHickory Fruit knife 3.JPG
This is a little project I whipped up at Anvil Club from a spring that was laying around. Don't know the steel. Hickory handle, buttcap from a big screw, "guard" from a coffee can.
Kinda primitive, but a nice little fruit knife.
Six-and-an-eighth OAL, a hair over two inches of sharp edge.

You can't tell it, but they're both finished to 1200 grit!

Also both sharper'n heck. Real thin edges on them, that's the way I like it.

I'm don't think I'll try to sell them (unless these pictures really made your eyes sparkle for some reason- drop me an email at mscantrell at gmail.com), but someday soon, I would like to have this hobby put just a little money back in my pocket :)

Juuuuuuust thought I'd share... everybody loves pictures, and everything I know, I learned right here.
