Two knives just dropped on my website today. We got a Candyman with tiger stripe spalting on the flats (pic 1). It’s 1/8 in A2 tool steel with Green Galaxy Faulk Rite. 4in blade and 8.5 overall length.
Pic 2 is my model Ol’ Nessie. It’s got regular spalting on the flats with Desert Iron wood handle. It’s also 1/8 A2 tool steel. 4inch blade and 8.5 overall as well.
Two of my favorite models, they both feel amazing in the hand.
They’re both listed for $260 on my website. Sheath isn’t included, but if you’re interested in one, I can refer to some sheath makers.

Question for the Darlington Edgecraft crowd (or anyone who’s handled one):
I’ve been eyeing the Candyman – Green Galaxy Faulk Rite – Tapered A2 and gotta ask—what exactly are those handle slabs made from? I know they look sharp (no pun intended), but trying to nail down the materials.
From the listing, I’m guessing G10 liners (black), and those pins look like classic Micarta… but that wild Green Galaxy Faulk Rite main slab what’s the deal with that material? Some kind of G10 blend or a stabilized composite?
And the orange stripes—anyone know what that is? Is it another G10 layer, dyed Micarta, or something custom they’re brewing in-house?
Would love any firsthand takes on how these handles hold up in real use—grip, durability, moisture resistance, etc. Appreciate the feedback!

Hey! So the green galaxy Faulk rite is fully acrylic. I use acrylics every now and then because some people like the look of them, but in my personal opinion, they get a little slippery in the hand if you’re using it long term. The stripes are g10 as well as the pin outs and the lanyard tube. The liner that’s glued directly onto the knife is black micarta.

Micarta and g10 hold up the best out of any material. You can throw a full Micarta or g10 knife in a pool for two days and have no issue with the handle. The same can be said for acrylic as well, though it may scratch easier.

I will specify exactly what material everything is made of on my website from now on, and on any further posts 😄

Hey thanks for the detailed breakdown—really appreciate you taking the time to spell it out. That actually tracks with some of the great outdoorsy custom builds I’ve handled over the years. Charlie Davis of Anza Knives, for example, used acrylic on some of his custom builds back in the day. Those were downright bitchin’. You don’t hear much about them because the folks who got their hands on one usually hang onto them like prized treasures—no flipping, no hype trains—just quiet appreciation. Glad to see you offering that option with the Green Galaxy vibe. Sometimes it’s not just about performance specs, it’s about a little extra flair on a blade you actually enjoy picking up.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work! Nuff said, I'll take the Candyman A2 should withstand me, and my wife poked her head over my shoulder and said ooooh....I want the El Toro - Bolstered Black Micarta - Guardless Tapered Nitro V...Geez.... Hey, you give discounts if I'm buying 2x?

...and the Cowboy...because...I was supposed to buy the Black handled one with the brown/gold upper half, well, she's jumped on her PC and ordering it herself, doh! You can probably ship them all together!

I just packaged them! I unfortunately cannot do discounts at the moment since the orders were placed, but if you’re interested in another grab, I can email you a code to apply to checkout on a further order. Your orders mean the world to me though! I love the enthusiasm from both of you and I hope you love the knives. That cowboy is a sweet grab; it’s got a thick handle but it feels amazing in the hand.

Oh man that's weird, you were reading my mind from yesterday! I was gonna bug you for repeat buyer's coupon and here you are! That’s totally fair, no worries at all! Appreciate you getting those packed up so quick. Yeah, we’re loving what you’re making — the excitement is real on our end too. Can’t wait to get these in hand, and hey, a future code sounds awesome, I’m already eyeballing a couple others. That Cowboy’s gonna ride with me on some cookouts for sure!

Hell yeah! Be sure to send me some photos of it being used 😄
