Got my custom from GL Drew. I wanted a compact but super stout blade and that's exactly what I got! Feels great in hand and is a real workhorse.

Next to my NWA for comparison

Hiked in a new area, found a cool little cave. (Doesn't show well though)

Came home from my hike, and what do I find? The Goode Companion I just traded for :D What a great Saturday!

It's smaller than I thought, but that's actually better. It is so cool, and the curly maple and mosaic pins are beautiful! I don't know if I can bring myself to use it. (But I don't have any safe queens, so I'll have to!)

Nice pics, I like the cave the color is wild. The new blade is sweet to, about the right size blade imo.

Very nice! I'm lucky enough to live about 30 minutes from Mr. Drew, looks like I need to spend some more money with him! Think I'll email him right now.:)

His prices are outstanding too, very cool guy to work with.

Here's some more cave shots, I could almost live in here

Looking back down through the top, opening looks small, it's actually very roomy

And just one more knife pic :)

Are you familiar with the San Fernando valley? I'm at the northwestern side of it. Lots of rocky hills to hike in.

Hey Mike how'd you know? ;) Got these ones to make 2 kits for my wife and I. Really cool little knives!

TK, stunning photos and gorgeous knives, thanks for sharing ... its been raining here for almost 36 hours and this really brightened up the day.

Awesome pics and knives. I'm a real sucker for the bladeprofile of the Drew and Companion! What are the steel's on these guys?

Nice Pics. Gorgeous location. Great knives. I wish there were places like that around here.

Rocks, ya gotta love rocks!

Rupestris : [Latin] Lives among the rocks .(roughly translated). :p

You are a big fan of that style, the big choil and wide blade?
I am partial to them myself, very handy looking, but I have yet to use one.
The goode companion is my fave of the bunch, I love curly maple.

No, though I do get to Angeles NF when I can too, very beautiful there. This area is part of the Santa Monica mountain range. I can get to some quick hiking within a couple miles of my house.
Yep all my knives seem to share some common characteristics :D They are all comfortable to use and have blade profiles I like.
Steel on the Goode is O1, the Drew is 1095

TK,

That is some really kind terrain. Glad to see somebody else was out having fun today and playin' w sharp objects
