• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

So, I picked up two new blades. I got a Spyderco Para-Military and a Vic Farmer (kept hearing everyone talk about them, and I had to try it out). First impressions, I like them both. I might have to start leaving the fixed blades at home. The Para is sharp as hell, and the G-10 handle fits my hand perfectly. Flat-ground, S30V, american made. Can't go wrong. :D

Ooh, forgot to mention the compression lock on the Para. It's great. Locks up solid as a rock, and is just a really neat feature. I'll try to get some picks up, but I really stink at photography. I dont have the time right now, because my wife is dragging me to the movies to see that horrible-looking sex in the city movie. I'm hoping to break off and go see the strangers. Wish me luck. :(

The Para-Military is an awesome knife. Like you said: FFG S30V, G-10, Comp Lock, Made in USA = a winner.

I actually got them both at Smokey Mountain Knife Works. I was in Pigeon Forge, TN on vacation, and went by the store. It is a wonderful place.

Here you go!

Damn. I probably should have ordered mine from Amazon, because I paid nearly twice that for the Farmer. Still, worth every penny I paid.

There are rumors that Vic may be discontinuing the Farmer (it is based around the Soldier, which is being switched to a different design, Swiss MilSpec has changed). If you are thinking of getting one, it is probably better to get one now than later.
