Hi All,
Finished the two Skinner/Hunter knives, so up for sale they go. Both are made from Aldo's 3/16ths 154-CM and both are hardened to a Rockwell of 60.
The Specifics: Bacote handled knife (longer of the two)
8 5/8 inches long
Cutting edge is 4 inches tip to choil
Handle 4.5 inches from the front of the handle to the butt end.
Pins are 416 stainless
Spine pattern is the "Vine and Thorns"
Nice Hamon through out the blade
Bacote scales taken to 3000 grit then waxed to seal them.
This is a pretty knife but very tough. Price including sheath and priority shipping to the US is $225.00
The Specifics: Black Canvas handled knife (smaller of the two)
7 3/4 inches long
Cutting edge is 3 inches tip to center of the choil
Handle 4 3/8 inches from the front of the handle to the butt end.
Pins are 416 stainless
Spine is jinked with 5 parallel cutouts 1/8 inch deep.
Mirror finish on the bevel flats to 500 grit then polished, makes for a nice contrast. Nice Hamon through out the blade
Black Canvas Micarta scales taken to 220 grit the waxed to seal them. They are grippy.
This is a very tough knife excellent for skinning edge up. Price including sheath and priority shipping to the US is $185.00
A word on the sheaths. They are hand made by me and custom to each knife. Made from .080 Kydex. The one for the smaller knife is worn in a traditional fashion on the outside of the belt in the vertical presentation. The one for the larger knife fits between the belt and the pants, in the small of the back, right hand draw. Or cross draw from left hip with right hand.
