Two of a kind. Who carries one for a beater and a nice one for days off ?

I don't have any duplicates of the same knife but all my Italian stilettos and USA autos are strictly collector pieces. Some of my nicer manual folders are my office EDCs and most of my budget Chinese knives serve as my hard use beaters.

well, I've got 3 user Pacific Salts and 2 backups, and 1 user Spyderhawk and 1 backup. I thought of keeping 1 Tasman as user and 1 as backup but it's so nice of a work blade that I put both into the EDC rotation :D

You must have a REALLY TOUGH JOB... WOW!

I have a friend that has two knives. One for dress and one for work. Last time I saw him, he carried both. One in a cargo pocket and the other in his RFP. I ask about this and he said he decided to carry both so he could enjoy his dress knife more often. The joys of only owning two knives. :)

Yes and no. CPK EDC in 4V at work. CPK EDC in D3V at home. CPK EDC in D2 when not at home and not at work.

I kind of did this with CRK Sebenzas. One for hiking/backpacking/kayaking and one for all else. My real motivation was to have a back up if I ever lost one and to get an Insingo blade.

I still use them this way (though they're now more back ups to a fixed blade).

Close. I have an m4 Millie in my pocket every day. I have a second standard s30v Millie in the sunglasses holder in my car. I keep the one in my car clean for when my wife and I are out and about on the weekend. It makes for a good "on the go" food knife. Use it almost every trip.

Good ones !
Keep 'em coming.
That reminds me of "a pair" I used to swap between : Cold Steel Holdout III ( the little one ) for at work and for dirty stuff and at home for food etc. and because I just like it, the Holdout I (large one).

I work some retail around sheeple and I've found six inch knives flying out with the classic CS lockup doesn't sooth them. Soothed ones some times tip. And then there is that pesky three inch law.
