Want to get a Really nice ghost lines on a Hamon...Which works better 1050 or 1084? What is the best quench medium for it?

Halpern Titanium used to carry textured G10...anyone know where to find it now?
Guess that's three questions:D

1050 makes real good hamon patterns. Use refractory clay to cover spine of blade, and quench in water.

Manganese is too high in 1084 for the ghosty, smoky hamon. 1050 does pretty good quenched in water. 1095, W1, W2 quenched in a fast oil is the best bet but there is a learning curve.

Thanks but Knifekits 3D is actually Pistacio/black and some other color. Same stuff Sheffields carries.
Will check out Masecraft...Thanks
