Two questions about suppliers and belts

First I put in a internet order with admiral steel last weekend. I was wondering if they notify that they received the order and the shipping status. I have not received any communication from them. That seems kinds odd to me

Second Am I running to much tension on the belt when it cups on the sides? I am still getting my tool arm distances down on my NWG and was wondering. The grinder works well but the belts are cupped.

My last order from admiral took them 21 days to fill the order BEFORE they shipped and then took a week to get to me. When I called to check, I didn't have all my info and was brushed aside till the next day. When I called to tell the same person the next day, she was defensive and I had to cut her off three times to simply tell her I had found my order info, and she should be able to find the order. And this wss a 350.00 order of steel. I have heard few people that have good things to say about Admiral, but I keep ordering...

Chris, when you ordered PayPal should have e-mailed you the receipt. I have ordered from Admiral last month. First they sent me a paper copy of the receipt by mail, then the steel arrived. It took less than 2 weeks. They did not notify me about shipping status and did not give a tracking number, but their price was the best (ATS-34 and 440C), so I do not complain.

My experiences with Admiral's customer service have always been good. I agree that their Paypal option could use some refinement. If you just give them a call to place your order, you can avoid this. I'm only 100 miles South of their warehouse, so shipping is usually pretty quick. My only real complaint is the amount of pitting on thei 440C... at least their thicker stock. They sell it oversized to compensate, but the cost of belts and the amount of time it takes to clean it up isn't enough to justify the good prices they have on it anymore. I have been very happy with the other steel grades I have purchased there.
