Two questions...(help please)

It's obvious that what I consider impolite/sarcastic is not what the rest of the world seems to think (excepted for my wife. I told her en passant of this and her reply was "classic. What do you expect from a public forum in Internet?")

Comment removed, as it was not in the spirit of shiny footprints.

It sounds like the two of you were made for each other.

Ok, I'll post one last time as this warrants it.

1) leave my wife out of any of your comments.

2) if your post is not inflammatory and trolling, I don't know what is. You felt the need to post this: why? Who are you, what do you want...

So are you saying that you and your wife aren't made for each other...? I'm confused!

Lighten up, Francis.

Ok, I'll post one last time. Leave my wife out of this. I don't know what YOU were made for, once you find that answer in the animal world, let me know I am curious.

Why that is quite rude and uncivilized, but is a classic response in internet circles.

Enjoy the mule, like all Spydercos, it is well made.

I knew it. The trolls have arrived!

MODS PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD. IT NOW HAS OFFICIALLY DEGENERATED.

Dude, you can close it yourself. There are Thread Options in the top right corner.

Enjoy your mule.

Allright, I am leaving this thread after this reply to you. It's obvious that what I consider impolite/sarcastic is not what the rest of the world seems to think (excepted for my wife. I told her en passant of this and her reply was "classic. What do you expect from a public forum in Internet?") and I just don't want to waste further time repeating the same concepts over and over, it would be ridiculous.

This is what I think ISN'T a rude and sarcastic reply to me:
"If I was in your shoes, I'd try calling them by phone as in my personal experience, I had the best success with it"
This is what I am SURE it's a rude and sarcastic reply:
"Pick up the phone and call them, dummy"
This is what I am sure at 99.9999% that it's a rude and sarcastic reply that someone tried to slightly conceal:
"They answered my phone call on my first try"

Finally, if you don't have an answer to someone's question (for the love of God, I am not asking if they have phones and are they answering them, I am asking for AVAILABILITY and PRICE RANGE!), I believe you should not answer.
If you do have an answer to someone's question and you answer, it's a good deed you just did. Shared your knowledge, you know.
If you do or do not have an answer to someone's question and just tell them the obvious, in a sarcastic/rude way, you are being an <insert whatever
insult you might find appropriate here>.

Merry Xmas to all.

PS: thanks for trying to answer my #2 question!

Try breathing, hoss. I'm just mentioning this suggestion en passant. ;)

Dude let it go. I said I requested closing this thread and you post some more crap.

Do you go around behaving like this in every forum? And then I am the one that needs to lighten up. Yeah right.

Grow up a bit more. Try at least.

Seriously, you seem wound a little tightly.
The original respondent offered you decent info. As have others here.
Remember, it's just a knife. Breathe.

ETA: The edit is appreciated.

Trying to add levity to an otherwise ridiculous situation. Seriously, lighten up, brother, you're going to die at a young age if you handle every situation like this.

Maybe re-read your post, because I couldn't have written it better.

Ok fine, that's good then. Now I hope mods will close this thing.

All's cool, thanks. Best wishes for the holidays to you and your beloved ones.

I don't know Halpern's work, but I will reiterate a couple of things already mentioned:
1) Outfits often get swamped during holidays, and small operations can have a more difficult time dealing with the crunch. Also, smaller outfits are more likely to just shut down for a variety of reasons.
2) Tom Krein does outstanding mod work, but he's a busy man. Still, worth the wait...

Ya know, I was even thinking of paying them a visit. They are 90 miles away from where I am. It'd be a nice little trip. It'd be nice to see those scales in person, if they have them (sure I'd give a call in advance as I wouldn't want to get there for nothing...).

Unfortunately, it's these kinds of scenarios that make the good people here not want to help or otherwise get involved with those just starting.
If you edit your last post, you can scroll down all the way to the bottom, there is a box with soemthign to the effect of "Close this thread after reply".
Put a X in the box, and click Submit Reply. that should close it up.

Oh. I tried but I can't find that.

A mod sent me a private message saying that in order for a thread to be closed, to click on the red triangle (=the report post) and then just mention in the message that goes along with it to ask for mods to close the thread.
That's what I did but obviously there must be no mod checking that at the moment.

Well we do have jobs and lives to deal with. Sorry you had to wait a little over 1/2 hour. I hope no one was seriously injured during the delay.

Closed on OP's request.
