two questions: swedge and file work

Hi folks, well I have made about twenty knives now and would like to continue growing and adding to my abilities. Question one: do you do your file work prior to heat treat when the steel is in its annealed state.This makes sence as it would be easier to file however are you creating possible stress fractures in doing so? Question two: what grind do you do firts, the swedge or your edge grind?
