I put a low bid on the green one and ended up winning. Wasn't my plan, but I can't say I regret it. Two flawless knives. Interesting subtle differences in dimensions, curvature, and width (I think, my wife thinks I'm nuts and my micrometer is in storage). I think y'all will agree with me after careful scrutiny. ;)

I am so enamored with the SBJ. It's almost silly.

Thanks for the pics Dan. I've been wondering how the Bermuda Green SBJ would look in some real pics. Great score!!

I know exactly how you feel. I have three and alternate between a chestnut bone in CV and stag with damascas. Both are great knives and I'm finding that a just love the utility and how they fit in the hand.

I was a little leery...I really had my eye on the Cayenne 'orange', but the green is beautiful and will make my Kawasaki buds happy. :)

And maybe someday the Cayenne will have to join the party (although it seems to look better in vendor pics than the few real pics I've seen).

I have a 2009 mop sbg and a 2010 chestnut sbj and I can tell you there is a major difference in the size, shape, etc. Course, some of yours may be the extra finishing that Case does on the Pocketworn versus the standard jigging on the chestnut. My pocketworn trappers are always thinner than the regular ones.

Ahhh, good call. Didn't even think of that.

There are big differences to my eyes. Not that either is bad. Just different. Which I find funny since they are the "same" knife.

That's one of the neat things about knives like this. As has been said many times, there is a touch of humanity in there. I was a bit surprised about how different they were, too, though. Not disappointed by any means, but surprised.

Those knives look almost completely different to me. It's hard to believe they are the same pattern from the same maker. They must have reworked the pattern or something??

The weirdest thing to me is that the bolster is narrower on the green one. Seems like that would be the same???

I don' mean to hijack the thread, but has anyone handled the single bladed swaybacks? If so, how did you like it? I was thinking of having my chestnut modded to a single blade.

LKJW - I actually like the overall shape of your green swayback better than the chestnut. I don't really care for the corner on the bottom backside of the chestnuts. You green one seems to be more rounded.

Once the parts are made it is all hand work from there. Different people have a different a touch on the wheels. That's what makes them say Case. Those are great little knives, I carry one in my watch pocket all the time.

I've got a singe blade Sway Back Gent model in ebony and really like it. Would like it more if it didn't have the rear bolster. Bought it mostly because I wanted and didn't have a Case in ebony. I've carried it a few times and love how slim it is. I've considered getting another in bone and probably will eventually. As popular as the Sway Backs are for Case, I'm a little surprised they don't yet offer the gent in CV.

Got both of these and I like them greatly. Not much difference between them on mine, the Green is a little thinner due perhaps to the pocket worn effect. As TB says, its all down to the individual craftsman's use of the wheels/rounding etc. That green is a very nice hue, not easy with that colour.

They really are great little knives! I've got 4 or 5
with different bone/stag on each and they're all a
little different. But that's what I like.
They just fit perfect in your hand!

I'm up to four (two chestnut bone CV, one stag damascus, one pocket worn gent). I really love all the two bladed versions. The Gent model felt a little thin plus my son had his eye on it so I gave it to him. He carries it all the time now. Overall this is an outstanding pattern that is so usable in a small package.

I have 3 SWJ single blade, I like them a lot, they have great shape and are doing the job.
