Two step Verification not Turning off

I cannot disable the two step verification. It makes logging in impossible at times, and the verification code takes forever to arrive, and by then it’s expired.

I don’t know how that works, but I will try to learn. My computer skills are pretty basic. I can log in Bladeforums on my iMac. If you guys could turn off that two step verification, I would be able to use my iPad to browse the forums. Thanks for your suggestion Blues.
 
We, moderators, cannot control the software...so I can only make suggestions. But if you can get the passkey function working on your device, it is a better option and you don't have to remember a password or store it somewhere. The passkey will be stored in your browser...or...if you have a password app, it may be able to store it as well. (That's how I do it.)

I got the Passkey to work on my iPhone through facial recognition. Some good progress. The iPad is not yet set up, may require more time, and it’s fingerprint recognition is not as good as the iphone facial.
 
Passkey doesn’t need to be tied to facial or finger print recognition, but it is more secure that way. I just use passkeys setup via the Passwords app on the iPad or computer. No muss, no fuss.
 
I save them to my password manager so I can use the passkeys on multiple devices and it couldn't be simpler.
