Type K thermocouples, used once in a mechanical testing laboratory then changed out.

$25.00 for 5 postage included. Email or PM me

These are simple type K thermocouples, the actual sensor junction is about 1/16th to 1/8 inch. They do not have connectors, the leads are typically about 2 feet long

in theory up to 2282F, at work we typically use type K's for cryo up to about 2200f at the upper end (over 2200) we usually switch to the really expensive ones

Here's a really good manufacturer's site for reference (no, these are NOT Omega thermocouples, this is just a good reference site)

http://www.omega.com/thermocouples.html

hope this helps

Page,

What type of sheath do these have, and are they grounded or ungrounded? I'm probably in for a handful, just curious as to what environment they're suited for.

they are unsheathed bare. In the lab we're using them in electric kilns up to 2200f. I will probably for my own forge make up a stainless or U901 sheath packed with refractory to protect them from combustion effects for any I'm going to put directly in a combustion chamber, typically though I will only use them in a muffle so combustion is not an issue

I should have the first batch of thermocouples in the mail tomorrow, I have been testing them and bending a round loop on the positive lead and a right angle bend on the negative lead. People have been asking, I have a lot of them left!
Thanks for your patience

Mark Shipley, Dan Pierson, Deker, Aaron, Stephen, Stacy, Stan, and James Viall yours mailed today. Anthony Stovall and Jim Poling, yours will go out in the next couple of days, I just need to sort them, test them, and package them.
I still have lots of them left!

Excellent!

Got my thermocouples in yesterday. They were well-packed and look to be in good shape.

I've no idea when I'll get to test them, though. My girlfriend stuck her fingers in a lawnmower Monday (kept all her parts, but made a mess of 2 fingers) and I've been kind of busy....

Anyhow, thanks, Page! A pleasure doing business!
