You have a trade deal per our email agreement!

UPDATE: After making a deal decides to back out! Not very honorable in my book.

Long story short.

Offered to trade a Woods Bladeworks TITAN 2.0 for his KSG and some cash, he said he did not have any cash to add but offered a Hinderer flashpoint with the KSG for the TITAN 2.0. Went back and forth all week, he asked for time to weigh his options, then emailed me yesterday stating he'll trade the KSG & the Flashpoint for the knife. I gladly accepted his offer this morning, waited & waited & waited for response. Finally sent him another email late this evening and he replies...after checking prices on the Titan and the last one sold for $799 so I think I'm gonna pass..

You don't do this after you make a deal. You bring things up like this while you are negotiating. So as far as I'm concerned, Typhoon12 (Zakk) WELCHED on this deal! :thumbdn:

Rob, you might want to reconsider posting this here. Your trading partner's behavior seems annoying, but certainly not dishonorable. Typhon backed out before anything was exchanged and gave you a reason. This is certainly his prerogative and better he exercised it before than during a partially consummated deal. The latter would constitute welching, not backing out beforehand.

Negative feedback for a deal not made is considered generally inappropriate here. The better course for you would be to move on and avoid doing business with this individual again if you so decide.

Just saying'….

DO NOT leave negative FB for a deal not completed!!
90 day suspension.....mandatory!
Situation sucks, but like Chazzy said, better it happened this way than after you sent your end!
Ignore him and move on.......and maybe close this thread now.

Irritating, but what was really dishonorable here? The guy saw that the deal was going to be better for you than for him, and decided not to go through with it. Dishonorable would have been him asking you to ship first, and then never sending his knives, and in effect, stealing yours.

Sure, the guy could have done all that before saying he'd do the deal. But hey, no deal was actually struck, so...?
