U-G-L-Y Knife Contest

I win, give me my prize.
This is my first attempt at grinding with some L6 that L6 kindly gave me to help me get started. It was going to be a digger for metal detecting. The palm swell(?) on the tang is really ugly but in the summer the ground gets so hard you have to put two hands on your digger to even cut a plug. And of course after I ground it like that I realized that I will have to make a two piece guard. No point so it doesn't scratch coins. Of course it would, but may help? It is not really a knife. It's not really anything except nasty. I don't know if it can be saved or not. I was so upset that I ruined a piece of good steel that I just left it lay. That is layout fluid on it, not blue from heat.

I think that you could do a little more grinding and make a nice knife that you would use every day. I made a blade like yours in the way of not liking it because I was told to finish everything that I start no matter what so if threw a some oak on it and practiced my etching on the steel. I find myself using it all the time, kinda wierd, it always seems to be within an arms length away.
